Disney has officially transformed the former Paradise Pier Hotel into the Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in California. The transition was completed and officially celebrated in early 2024. This reimagining turned the seaside-themed hotel into the first and only hotel in the world dedicated entirely to celebrating the artistry and stories of Pixar Animation Studios. The hotel's design now features a contemporary, mid-century modern aesthetic that highlights the "art and technology" behind Pixar films. Guests are greeted by the iconic Pixar Lamp and Ball in the lobby, and the hallways are decorated with concept art, wireframe character sketches, and early animation thumbnails. The renovation also included updated themed areas like the Finding Nemo Splash Pad, a "Soul" inspired lounge where Joe Gardner performs on the piano, and rooms featuring artwork that depicts Pixar characters in various stages of motion, providing a cohesive tribute to the studio's cinematic history.
