What are they changing Paradise Pier to?

Disneyland's Paradise Pier Hotel is getting a transformation and will soon turn into the new Pixar Place Hotel in 2024. This will become the first hotel in the United States to be completely Pixar themed and is expected to be ready on Jan. 30, 2024. .

Paradise Pier at the Disneyland Resort has actually undergone two major transformations. First, the land itself in Disney California Adventure was rethemed into Pixar Pier, which opened in 2018 with areas dedicated to The Incredibles, Toy Story, and Inside Out. More recently, the onsite hotel formerly known as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel has been completely transformed into the Pixar Place Hotel, which officially opened in early 2024. This change turned the seaside-themed hotel into a contemporary tribute to the "art of Pixar," featuring character sketches, concept art, and "Easter eggs" from films like Finding Nemo and Soul throughout the lobby and rooms. The hotel now features a Finding Nemo-themed splash pad on the rooftop and a "Great Maple" restaurant. This change aligns the hotel with the nearby pier, creating a more cohesive "Pixar" presence on the southern side of the resort and moving away from the generic "Californian boardwalk" aesthetic that the park originally featured in 2001.
