What castle is Disney Paris?

Disneyland Park (Paris) Sleeping Beauty Castle (English for Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant) is at the centre of Disneyland Park and a continuation of Sleeping Beauty Castle first seen at Disneyland in California.

The castle at Disneyland Paris is known as Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, which translates to Sleeping Beauty Castle. While it shares the same name as the castle in California, the Paris version is widely considered the most beautiful and whimsical of all Disney castles. Designed by Imagineer Tom Morris, it was intentionally made to look "fairy-tale-like" rather than realistic to contrast with the actual historic castles found throughout Europe. Its architecture features spiraling pink towers, square-shaped trees, and shimmering blue roofs. A unique feature of the Paris castle is La Tanière du Dragon (The Dragon’s Lair), located in a dark cavern underneath the castle, which houses one of the largest and most sophisticated animatronic dragons in the world. Inside the castle, guests can walk up to the second floor to see the story of Sleeping Beauty told through exquisite stained-glass windows and hand-woven tapestries, and the outdoor balcony offers a perfect view of Fantasyland.
