Neuhausen am Rheinfall is a town and a municipality in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland. The town is close to the Rhine Falls, mainland Europe's largest waterfall.

The river begins in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the southeastern Swiss Alps. It forms part of the Swiss-Liechtenstein, Swiss-Austrian, and Swiss-German borders. After that the Rhine defines much of the Franco-German border, after which it flows in a mostly northerly direction through the German Rhineland.
It's equally wonderful to take in the falls with snow surrounding them in the winter as it is to visit in the summer. I've been there in April, June and July and have enjoyed myself every time. I'd still suggest Summer as the best time, preferably May to July to get the best views.
