The Royal Princess is the "lead ship" of the Royal Class for Princess Cruises. Launched in 2013 and having undergone significant "MedallionClass" upgrades for 2026, this ship set the blueprint for an entire generation of Princess vessels, including sisters like the Regal, Majestic, Sky, Enchanted, and Discovery Princess. The Royal Class is defined by its massive, piazza-style atrium, the "SeaWalk" (a glass-bottomed walkway extending 28 feet over the ship's edge), and a lack of a traditional "wraparound" promenade deck in favor of more balcony cabins. These ships are roughly 142,000 gross tons and carry approximately 3,560 guests.
