What color is Cancun water?

The sand is a beautiful white color. The water is not bright turquoise blue like I have seen in other parts of the Carribean, it is a darker turquoise with a little bit of gray mixed in. It turns a deep blue the further you go out. However, I feel it was beautiful and did not regret going a couple weeks ago!
