What day is market day in Dubrovnik?

The market in Dubrovnik The morning market in Old Town Dubrovnik is dominated by the statue of poet Ivan Gundulic, surrounded by the red and white umbrellas. The market operates six days a week at 7 am, selling all kinds of fruits and vegetables, souvenirs, liqueurs, flowers and cheese.

In 2026, the main market day in Dubrovnik is every day from Monday to Saturday, but the "big" morning market at Gunduliceva Square in the Old Town is most vibrant on Saturday mornings. Starting as early as 7:00 AM, local farmers from the Konavle valley bring in fresh figs, lavender, olive oil, and honey. There is also a larger, more "local" market at the Gruž Harbor, which is active daily but peaks on Fridays and Saturdays when more fish and local produce are available. If you are looking for handicrafts and traditional embroidery, the Sunday morning market in the nearby village of Čilipi (accessible by bus) is a must-visit, as it usually includes a performance of traditional folk dancing in front of the local church after the morning mass.
