For guests prone to motion sickness on the Disney Fantasy, the "Golden Rule" is to stay low and central. The most stable area of the ship is Deck 2 or Deck 5 in the Midship section. Being on a lower deck places you closer to the ship's center of gravity (the "pivot point"), where the vertical movement (pitching) and side-to-side rocking (rolling) are felt the least. Midship is preferred over the Forward (front) or Aft (back) sections because the ends of the ship act like a see-saw, moving much more significantly in rougher seas. Deck 2 Midship is particularly popular because it is also conveniently located near the main dining rooms and the Enchanted Garden, minimizing the time you need to spend on elevators. If you prefer a room with a view, an Oceanview or Verandah cabin on a lower-to-middle deck (like Deck 5 or 6) is beneficial because being able to see the horizon helps your brain synchronize your visual input with the physical movement, which can significantly alleviate nausea. Avoid high decks (Decks 10-12) and the very front of the ship where the motion is most pronounced.
