At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge replaced a significant portion of the park's northwest section, primarily taking over the area formerly known as the Streets of America. The construction required the demolition of several long-standing backlot-themed attractions, most notably the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show and the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: Movie Set Adventure, both of which closed in April 2016. The expansion also saw the removal of the Studio Backlot Tour facades and the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow walk-through. Interestingly, while the neighboring MuppetVision 3D* was preserved, the surrounding area was renamed from "Streets of America" to "Grand Avenue." The 14-acre project was part of a massive park overhaul that occurred simultaneously with the development of Toy Story Land, shifting Hollywood Studios from a "working movie studio" theme to an "immersive world" theme where guests actually step into the story of Batuu.
