What did Tower of Terror turn into at Disney World?

Disney is going to turn the Tower of Terror into a normal elevator. The new ride will follow the same path as it currently does. However, instead of unexpected rises and falls, it will just be a normal elevator. Guests will still experience the 5th dimension and travel horizontally in their elevator.

There is a common misconception regarding the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World. Unlike the version at Disney California Adventure—which was transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in 2017—the Florida version at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has remained unchanged. It continues to be themed around the classic 1950s television series hosted by Rod Serling. The attraction still features the iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel facade, the "Fifth Dimension" scene where the elevator car physically moves through the building, and the randomized drop sequences. While Disney has updated the lighting and safety systems over the years, there have been no official announcements to re-theme the Florida landmark. It remains one of the most popular attractions in Orlando, beloved for its atmospheric "Golden Age of Hollywood" aesthetic and its unique vertical-drop technology. Therefore, the answer is that it did not turn into anything; it is still the same classic haunted hotel experience that opened in 1994.
