Most of these rides allow you to safely store items that can fit in your pocket or a small fanny pack that can tuck under your shirt. However, all other large items (purses, camera bags, backpacks, etc.) must go inside the ride locker.

Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides. Plus it would likely fly up and smack you in the face.

Note: If you're going to the amusement park on your own, you may be fine without bringing a bag. Generally, I only ever take my ID, phone, and keys (and payment if I anticipate buying anything). But, if you have more items that you need or would like to bring, then you'll want to take a bag.
You can even wear it on rides.A fanny pack is still considered a “bag,” so you will still need to go through the bag check line when entering any theme park or water park, but rest assured your fanny pack will be welcome!
On the other hand, chances are you will loose your phone when it falls out of your pocket. In general its advisable not to take the phone with you if you ride.
If you just have a small purse or bag, some of the rides will have a pouch or place to put that while you ride. Sometimes there are cubbies or shelves to place your bags as well. If you have large items, I recommend getting a locker.
While theme parks are transitioning to cashless, many others including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, and SeaWorld all still accept cash.
fannypack all the way. most rides you can keep it on while on the rides. only a few (velocicoaster, hulk) require you put it in a locker. but with a backpack, almost every ride itll have to go into a locker.
