Wear layers to the parks everyday. The evenings and mornings can be chilly, especially if you are following my Disneyland morning strategy with Genie Plus tips and getting to the parks right when they open and staying late into the night. Bring a sweatshirt that is easy to stuff in a backpack or tie around your waist.

Dressing for night in Disneyland requires a "layered" strategy because Southern California temperatures can drop by 10∘C to 15∘C once the sun sets over Anaheim. During the day, you may be comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt, but for the evening fireworks and Fantasmic!, you will likely need a light jacket, hoodie, or a windbreaker. Many savvy guests bring a "spirit jersey" or a lightweight fleece that can be tied around the waist during the day. Footwear remains the most important factor; even at night, you will be walking miles, so stick to supportive sneakers. If you are visiting during the "After Dark" themed events or the holiday season (November–January), you should upgrade to long pants (jeans or leggings) and perhaps a heavier coat, as the damp evening air can feel much chillier than the thermometer suggests, especially while standing still for parades.
