What do you wear to a theme park?

The key for any amusement park outfit is COMFORT and LAYERING. The parks open early, so you'll want something warmer in the morning (unless you're going in the dead of summer), easy layers you can shed in the afternoon as it warms up, and layers you can add back on as it cools down at night.

You might feel nervous about wearing a skirt or a dress to an amusement park, but trust me — in the summer, there's basically nothing better! Just choose one that will keep you covered no matter what kind of ride you're on.

Do Not wear material that you can see through when it gets wet. Find a bra where your ladies are not going to fall out when you're on the coasters, or just walking around for that matter. Or a dress/skirt (I know some that this is all they wear.. wear a garment underneath for modesty.)

But don't skip dresses for the fear of flashing while riding roller coasters. Use medium-length dresses and wear a pair of biker shorts underneath for extra coverage. Pair your easy-breezy outfit of the day with sandals for the ultimate summer look, but avoid boots as they can make you feel uncomfortable.

Look for shoes that have good arch support and cushioning to absorb the impact of walking and standing for long periods of time. Sneakers or athletic shoes are a great option as they provide both comfort and support.

Sneakers or water like sneakers would be the most appropriate. DO NOT wear heels or sandals. I saw a lot of sandals break and feet slipping around in them. Being on your feet all day you really need to be smart for your feet.

As long as you are covered up and not flashing underboob, you should be fine. Just make sure you use sunscreen! I've seen people in the park dressed in workout clothes that consist of sports bra/cropped tank and shorts and if they allow that, a crop top should be allowed with no issues.

Four hours is the time, I've found, that a family can spend together in a theme park before fatigue (physical or emotional) sets in. At the four-hour mark, it's time to get out, go someplace else, and either call it a day, or chill for at least six hours before returning to the park.

Just because the dress code is not strictly traditional formal doesn't mean you should show up in jeans and a t-shirt. “Creative” means that you should play around within the general parameters of the formal or cocktail dress code, not give up on the dress code altogether.

It's not! I mean, it might be a bit 'fun' on a roller coaster and I'd be aware of walking on elevated walkways that you can see through…but a skirt is an article of clothing and is comfortable and non-restrictive and cool…and I see MANY people wearing skirts or summer dresses etc at theme parks, fairs, events etc.

Speaking of clothes that are so torn up that you're showing more skin than your mom would have let you get away with in high school, Disney also does not allow guests to wear very revealing articles of clothing that could be viewed as “inappropriate for a family setting.” Make sure your shirt isn't overly cropped!
