What do you wear to Disney water park?

As you pack for paradise, keep in mind Disney's Typhoon Lagoon has a dress code. For safety reasons, swimwear with buckles, rivets, zippers or exposed metal is not allowed. And no jeans or wetsuits on select attractions. For diaper-age swimmers, suit up with plastic pants or swim diapers in pool areas.

When visiting Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, the primary requirement is proper swim attire, but there are specific rules to follow for safety and "Disney-appropriate" decorum. Swimsuits must be made of standard swimwear fabrics (nylon or spandex); clothing with exposed metal like zippers, buckles, or rivets is strictly prohibited on most slides because it can damage the fiberglass flumes or cause injury at high speeds. Many guests choose to wear "rash guards" or UV-protective shirts to prevent sunburn during long days in the Florida sun. Water shoes are highly recommended because the concrete walkways can become incredibly hot and slippery. While "cheeky" or overly revealing swimwear is technically discouraged in a family environment, the most important rule is the "no metal" policy. Additionally, children who are not toilet-trained are required to wear plastic pants or swim diapers. It is also wise to bring a change of dry clothes and a cover-up for when you leave the park or eat at the shaded dining areas.
