Wear Comfortable Shoes And Clothes You will be doing a lot of walking both inside the ark and outside. The Ark Encounter is wheelchair accessible. There are wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers available for rent. There is a lot of movement, so comfortable clothes are essential.

The Ark Encounter takes very seriously its responsibility to ensure that its attractions are family friendly. Due to this, we require all guests to wear clothing that is appropriate. Went on a family trip to the Ark, our group includes kids as young as 4 and old as 16. The Ark itself is impressive in its size and it is beautiful with accurate information throughout. I would recommend everyone go at least once but not with younger kids. There is a lot of long slow moving lines and lots of reading.
