What does a guaranteed stateroom mean for Disney?

Guaranteed staterooms ensure you'll be assigned at the level you booked or higher, which means, in some cases, you may even be given a room above what you booked. Upgrades depend upon availability, but you'll never be assigned a room below what you've reserved.
