Do you pay extra for the safari? - Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. “Do you pay extra for the safari?” You don't pay extra for the normal safari ride. You can purchase a special small group 3 hour tour if you want.
Some Guests feel that Disney's Animal Kingdom park is a half-day park. But you and I know that those naysayers are incorrect! With so much to do and see throughout the park, my family and I always plan to spend an entire day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It also happens to be our favorite of the four Theme Parks.
September and October are great months to visit, with weather that isn't nearly as stifling hot as July or August. November can also be a good time to visit, but you'll want to avoid Thanksgiving week. If you visit after Thanksgiving weekend, you may discover no lines at all.
If you are the kind of person who enjoys the park atmosphere between the rides, Animal Kingdom is incredibly immersive. If you're checking off rides and shows and your mind is in other parks you want to get to, Animal Kingdom can be a half day.
Rebecca, the Kilimanjaro Safaris is an attraction that is included with your admission to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Anyone visiting is welcome to enjoy that particular attraction.
Adventure is out there! There is no place quite like Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The wilderness must be explored! If you're planning on experiencing Kilimanjaro Safaris, you're going to want to give yourself about 15 minutes to walk there from the park entrance, Cristal.
Animal KingdomThe longest wait there (on average) was Flight of Passage at 102 minutes. Na'vi River Journey followed with 64 minutes, and Kilimanjaro Safaris was next at 58 minutes.
While Disney has found ways to extend the fun into the afternoon and evening hours, most of the animals viewed here are far more active, and therefore visible, in the morning. I strongly recommend you arrive at the park at opening time, or as soon afterwards as possible, to maximize your visit.
