What does Disney call boys and girls now?

When we brought the fireworks back to the Magic Kingdom, we no longer say, 'Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,' we say, 'Dreamers of all ages,' Ware said. According to some videos shared on social media, some changes in the recorded messages were implemented as early as last summer.

Since 2022, Disney has officially moved away from using gendered greetings like "boys and girls" or "ladies and gentlemen" in its theme parks and recorded announcements. Instead, the company has adopted high-fidelity gender-neutral phrases such as "Friends," "Everyone," or "Dreamers of all ages." For example, the iconic introduction to the nightly fireworks shows now begins with "Good evening, Dreamers of all ages," rather than the traditional gendered opening. This change was implemented as part of Disney’s "Reimagine Tomorrow" initiative to promote a more inclusive and "High-Fidelity" welcoming environment for all guests, regardless of gender identity. Inside the parks, Cast Members are trained to use these high-fidelity inclusive greetings during interactions, often referring to children as "Friends" or "Royalty" rather than "princes" or "princesses" unless a child specifically expresses a preference. This shift reflects a broader 2026 corporate commitment to high-fidelity diversity and ensuring that every guest feels seen and respected within the "High-Fidelity" magic of the Disney experience.

Although there are no restrooms specifically marked Gender Neutral, I'm happy to say that there are many restrooms available to everyone throughout the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. These restrooms are typically single-stall rooms designated as Companion Restrooms, and anyone is welcome to use those facilities.
