RAC (reservation against cancellation) is usually a confirmed seat without a sleeping berth and till 50 to 60 number should get confirmed 98% in a way. In my example too, mine was RAC2 got confirmed on the day of departure. So possibility is 200% till the number 40 to 50.
It usually depends upon the time, when is your train. If there is gap of 8–10 days then there is 75–90% possibility to get a confirmed ticket at RAC 57, as i have travelled many times by train, i remember that i had 115 RAC and my train was after 15 days from that day and luckily my ticket was confirmed..
