What does Lynx Air fly?

Boeing 737 fleet Every aircraft in the Lynx fleet is the very latest iteration of the ultra-reliable 737 family.

As of early 2026, Lynx Air is no longer flying, as the Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier officially ceased all operations on February 26, 2024. Before its closure, the airline operated a fleet of modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which were known for their fuel efficiency and "no-frills" configuration. Lynx Air was based in Calgary and Toronto and served approximately 17 destinations across North America. Its route network primarily focused on domestic Canadian connections between cities like Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, and St. John's. It also operated several "sun destination" routes to the United States, including flights to Orlando, Tampa, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, as well as international service to Cancún, Mexico. The airline's business model relied on unbundled fares, where passengers paid a low base price and added extras like bags or seat selection for a fee. While it aimed to bring "low fares to all," it ultimately faced unsustainable financial pressure in the competitive Canadian aviation market, leading to its sudden exit from the skies over two years ago.
