Terminal 3 has been closed for more than a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but today Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines will be back on home turf, with their signature flair, seamless check-in and award-winning facilities.

Terminal 2 is set up to handle not only international flights, but also UK domestic and Irish flights, which is like Terminal 5 and unlike Terminals 3 and 4. Aer Lingus and Loganair serve UK domestic and Irish flights from this terminal.
Terminal 3 opened in 1961 and was originally named the Oceanic Terminal. The terminal housed the UK's first ever moving walkways. It now measures 98,962 square metres and last year (2021) saw 2.8 million passengers travelling through the terminal on 28,288 flights.
We recommend that you allow the following minimum connection times: 1 hour for connections within the same Heathrow terminal. 1 hour 30 minutes for connections that require travel between terminals at Heathrow.

Yes you can walk from T3 to T5 @ Heathrow Airport , London uk. You need to start walking landside outside Terminal 3 arrival , through the tunnel turn left at the end of the tunnel & keep walking for good 3 miles noth runway , you will see the T5 building. it May take good 40 minutes . good luck !
Serving Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, the Elizabeth Line now connects Heathrow with central London and east London, along with Reading and Essex via changes. Trains run directly between Heathrow and Abbey Wood., while passengers travelling to or from Shenfield will need to change at Paddington.
