What happened to the ultimate Roller Coaster?

Now the Lightwater Valley theme park has decided The Ultimate, which has been out of service for three years, should be dismantled and its steel sold for scrap. The seven-minute thrill ride is among a number of attractions the park, near Ripon, North Yorks, has sold or got rid of in recent years.

After several years of standing idle, the decision was made to remove the ride in 2023. Park management cited safety concerns and the costs to refurbish the ride as the reason, as well as the park's shift in focus to becoming more family-oriented.
