If a ride closes during your scheduled Lightning Lane window at Disney World or Disneyland, your pass typically converts into an "Experience Recovery" or "Multi-Experience" pass. This will automatically appear in your My Disney Experience app. This special pass allows you to ride the same attraction later in the day if it reopens, OR you can use it to enter the Lightning Lane for a variety of other eligible attractions in the same park. Note that "Top Tier" rides (like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance) usually require their own specific recovery pass and cannot be used for other high-demand rides unless specified. You do not need to visit Guest Relations to fix this; the system is designed to handle it digitally. The pass generally lasts until the end of the park day. If the ride closure happens near the very end of the night and you cannot use the pass elsewhere, you may be able to speak with a Cast Member at a Blue Umbrella (Guest Experience Team) to see if they can offer a solution for the following day.
