What happens if you miss Disney?

Whether you have a regular theme park ticket or an Annual Pass, if you miss a Disney Park reservation at Disney World, you won't be penalized in any way. But, Disney does encourage you to either cancel or modify your reservation if you know you won't make it.

If you miss your scheduled visit to a Disney park, the outcome depends on your ticket type and reservation status. For standard date-based tickets, the ticket itself does not lose its value; the "Park Reservation" simply expires at the end of the day. You can generally log back into the app or website and select a new date, though you may have to pay a price difference if the new date falls in a higher pricing tier. However, if you have a one-day ticket that is tied to a specific "tier," you can only re-book for another day within that same tier or lower unless you call Ticket Services to pay for an upgrade. For "Magic Key" or Annual Passholders, missing a reservation without canceling it (usually by 11:59 PM the night before) can result in a "no-show" strike; accruing three such strikes within a 90-day period often leads to a 30-day suspension of the ability to make new reservations. It is always best to modify your reservation as soon as you know you can't make it to avoid these penalties and ensure you can use your high-value admission on a future date.
