What happens to lost children at Disneyland?

Children who become separated from their parents while in the park will be escorted to the nearest Baby Care Center and Lost Children facility by a Cast Member.

When a child is reported missing or found wandering at Disneyland in 2026, the park's highly coordinated "Lost Children" protocol is immediately activated. First, if you lose your child, find the nearest Cast Member; they will radio security with a description (which is why taking a "photo of the day" in the morning is a top tip). If a child is found by a Cast Member, they are never left alone and are escorted to the Baby Care Center and Lost Children facility (located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland or near San Fransokyo Square in California Adventure). These centers are staffed with compassionate professionals and feature toys, movies, and snacks to keep the child calm. Disney's system is incredibly efficient, often reuniting families within minutes. In 2026, many parents also utilize "MagicBand+" or digital "tracking" features in the Disneyland app, but the human-led security network remains the gold standard. For older children, Disney recommends establishing a "meeting spot" like the Walt Disney statue, ensuring that everyone knows where to go if they get separated in the bustling crowds.
