What hotel is being built by the Swan and Dolphin?

The Cove construction at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin - February 2020. Today we have a quick look at building'The Cove,' the new tower coming to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. The new hotel is being built on the site of the former tennis courts adjacent to the Fantasia mini golf course.

As of early 2026, there is no entirely new hotel under construction immediately adjacent to the Swan and Dolphin; however, the resort complex is undergoing a massive $300 million expansion and renovation. The centerpiece of this project is a new 120,000-square-foot event annex connected to the existing Dolphin convention center, scheduled to open in September 2026. This expansion is designed to solidify the resort's position as a premier convention destination on the East Coast. Additionally, the complex recently saw the opening of its third tower, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, in late 2021, which provides a more boutique, high-end experience compared to the larger Swan and Dolphin wings. While those seeking a brand-new resort might look toward the "Lakeside Lodge" DVC project near Magic Kingdom, the Swan and Dolphin area is currently focused on internal room refurbishments and the major convention center expansion.
