What ID do you need to fly from Canada to Mexico?

Even though Canadian passport holders may travel to Mexico legally without a visa, they will still have to carry a valid passport issued by the Canadian government to identify themselves. The Canadian passport must also be valid for at least six months (180 days) after the proposed arrival date in Mexico.
