What is a lifetime pass?

Lifetime National Park Passes. The National Park Service offers a number of lifetime passes for free admission to national parks and other federal lands. They are available to anyone with a permanent disability, members of the military, veterans, Gold Star Families and anyone over 62 years old.

U.S. military Service members, Veterans and Gold Star Families are eligible to receive free lifetime access to more than 2,000 Federal recreation areas, including national parks, wildlife refuges, and forests.

Notice: On January 1, 2007, the Golden Age and Golden Access Passport Program was replaced with the America the Beautiful Pass Program. Golden Age/Access Passports are still vaild at Federal Recreation Areas and do not need to be replaced unless lost or stolen.
