It's not an officially designated program. There is no official answer according to runDisney.com as to what makes a perfect runDisney race season. It's a fan-created term that's been in use for years, but was publicly acknowledged for the first time by the runDisney race announcers at the Springtime Surprise in 2023.

Yes, walkers are welcome in a runDisney event. Just be sure to maintain the minimum-pacing requirement for the race you're participating in when walking. If you fall short, no worries! Our shuttle will be along to pick you up at a safe location along the course.

Generally speaking, some of the more popular race weekends such as the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and Princess Half Marathon Weekend tend to sell out within minutes or hours of registration opening.

To perform your best, start your warm-up 40 to 50 minutes before the race. You can begin in the parking lot and be ready by the time you reach the start line: Walk slowly for 5 minutes, followed by a normal walking pace for 5 more. Do 10 minutes of the Run-Walk-Run method.
