Royal Mystery is an onboard activity offered to guests, where they must solve a series of puzzles based on clues hidden throughout the room to help solve a whodunit murder case. Unlike Escape the Rubicon, Royal Mystery has no cover charge and is held in a public spot (for our game, it was in the On Air Lounge).

The Royal Mystery on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas is an interactive, multi-team "whodunit" escape room experience. Unlike traditional escape rooms where a single group is locked in a small space, this event typically takes place in a larger venue like a lounge or the On Air Club, allowing dozens of passengers to play simultaneously in smaller teams. Participants are tasked with solving a series of high-tech puzzles, decoding clues, and analyzing evidence to uncover a criminal mastermind or solve a central mystery within a set time limit (usually 45 to 60 minutes). It is designed by Puzzle Break, a leading escape room company, and is free for guests, though pre-registration via the Royal Caribbean app is highly recommended as it fills up quickly. It offers a great way to meet fellow cruisers while testing your deductive reasoning in a high-energy, immersive environment.
