I don't think Exuma is any more expensive than most Caribbean islands,but you've got to remember that everything is shipped in by boat so it is more expensive than the states. I usually go with about $300-$400 in cash, but plan on taking out cash fromATm's along the way.

The island chain of Exuma, Bahamas is very unlike crowded Nassau. The small island of Little Exuma with a population of just over 7,300 people has quick daily flights from Florida and Nassau. I spent 5 days there exploring and relaxing and felt incredibly safe as a woman by myself.
