What is new at EPCOT 2023?

Journey of Water is a new attraction — the first ever inspired by Moana — which officially opened in EPCOT's World Nature on October 16th, 2023! The attraction is a walkthrough trail where guests can “play with magical, living water” in an immersive way.

Ultimately, the answer to the question, “should you skip Epcot?” is ABSOLUTELY NOT as of 2023. Navigating the sea of construction walls isn't really as bad as it might seem–and while it'll be a lovely environment once finished, there aren't any rides you'll miss in that Giant Epcot Dirt Pit.

As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We would recommend visiting on a Wednesday during the festivals mentioned above.

A new nighttime spectacular called “Luminous The Symphony of Us” will debut at EPCOT on Dec. 5, 2023! “Luminous The Symphony of Us” will feature fireworks, fountains, lasers, lighting effects and music and continue Disney's long tradition of amazing nighttime entertainment at the park.

With that said, our actual advice is visiting Epcot on a weekday. Mondays through Wednesdays are all equally good. We've noticed a slight uptick in crowds on Thursdays, and a more significant one on Fridays. Still, not nearly as bad as Saturday or Sunday.
