What is not allowed in the Disney theme parks?

Prohibited Items Marijuana (including marijuana enriched products) or any illegal substance. Objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons. Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines. Alcoholic beverages, except in the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort.

Disney maintains a very strict list of prohibited items to ensure guest safety and maintain the "show" environment. As of 2026, you are not allowed to bring in folding chairs, glass containers (except baby food jars), or alcohol. Significant restrictions apply to "transportation" devices: strollers larger than 31" x 52" are banned, as are all "stroller wagons" (like the popular Keenz models), regardless of size. Selfie sticks and large tripods that cannot fit inside a standard backpack are also strictly prohibited. To preserve the immersive atmosphere, adults (14 and older) are not permitted to wear full costumes or masks, except during specific ticketed events like the Halloween parties. In 2026, security has also increased scrutiny on "remotely controlled" devices; drones and RC toys are strictly forbidden. Additionally, any "offensive" clothing—including shirts with profanity or tattoos that could be considered inappropriate for a family environment—may result in being denied entry. Finally, loose ice and dry ice are not allowed in coolers (you must use reusable ice packs) to speed up the security screening process at the checkpoints.

Disney's Park Rules & Regulations say that bags must be no larger than 24 long x 15 wide x 18 high, which is much larger than most average diaper bags. I also recommend bringing or renting a stroller, since little legs can get tired on a busy Disney day. Plus, it's a great place to stash your diaper bag.
