What is special about Mexico City?

The heart of México City is its historic center, particularly the central square, the Zócalo. One can still see the ruins of the Aztec Templo, Mayor of Tenochtitlan, close to the Zocalo. Also known as the “Plaza de la Constitucion,” it is considered Mexico's political and cultural heart.
