Epcot is arguably the best Disney theme park for adults as far as attractions, dining, drinking, shopping, and shows go. As a general matter, Animal Kingdom is the park that requires the least strategy and is the easiest place to beat the crowds in all of Walt Disney World. It doesn't require Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes, and is pretty easy to knock out everything–and then some–if you stay for a full day.
Magic Kingdom is definitely the better park when it comes to food, attractions, character meet and greets and entertainment over Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios has become more a half day park, unless you are a major Star Wars fan and want to spend plenty of extra time doing galactic activities.
Sort of depends on your 4 year old. AK has lots to do; Safari, River Journey, Bugs Life, lots of animals to look at. Epcot also has stuff but it isn't really designed for toddlers. The Pavilions all have something suitable, Frozen and Ratatouille are great but not much else in the world showcase.
Me, personally I always avoid the parks with the extra magic hours simply because they are going to be more crowded with resort guests. If you can manage all 4 theme parks and you have never been there before I would say definately go to all 4, and take the time to see each one if you can.

If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park.
Basically, all of the rides and attractions at Animal Kingdom are perfect for adults. From the safari rides to the “roller coasters,” it's pretty one-size-fits-all. But you might not know about some of the non-ride attractions that are seriously worth your time.

We do find that EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are great parks to consider combining when you plan to park hop at Walt Disney World.
To be honest, both parks have some amazing rides and fan-favorite rides, but Epcot does have a few more recent rides and high-quality rides with more advanced technology. As you'll see in the list below, a lot of the popular Magic Kingdom rides are classics, which means they aren't the most advanced.
That's not to say one is just for kids or just for adults. There is plenty of fun stuff for kids to do at Epcot! And adults can definitely enjoy Magic Kingdom too! But if you are looking for a more grown-up vibe, then you'll want to go to Epcot.
