Your best bet for visiting the Magic Kingdom is going midweek on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. Thursday is usually a little more crowded but a far cry from the weekend crowds. If you can't bear the thought of waking that early, you can go the night owl route instead and arrive at the park in the early evening.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks are at 9pm on most nights. If there is a special event like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the fireworks may be earlier, or may not be scheduled for regular guests visiting that day.
Saturdays and Sundays are usually the busiest days of the week. I've had some of my favorite times at the Resort during the summer months and major holidays, but to be on the safe side, you'll want to avoid those days because there will be many families squeezing in the magic while they're out of school.

Genie Plus is definitely worth it for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and if you don't like early starts, you might consider it for Epcot and Animal Kingdom. If you are park hopping, Genie+ is even better value as it maximises the number of rides you have access to.

Add in different eating habits & food, less rest, and more time spent on your feet, and many will quickly notice the hours and steps logged daily. According to friends, family, and personal experience, we walk at least 10-12 miles on an average day visiting the parks. This is a lot more than many of us walk normally!
If you really just want to do theme parks every single day of your trip, then I'd suggest 2 full days at Magic Kingdom, 1 or 2 full days at Epcot, and then one day at each Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

Sundays Aren't BadComing in third place for most crowded day of the week at the Magic Kingdom is Sunday. Sundays aren't bad – in fact, Sunday mornings can be really nice and rather calm. Sunday is a pretty popular travel day for departing guests, but still, Sunday afternoons can get pretty crowded.
