What is the curfew on Carnival ships?

In September 2022, Carnival announced that it would implementing a new official youth curfew for all guests 17 years and younger who are not accompanied by an adult (age 21 and older) in their party by 1 a.m. Exceptions are for minors who are involved in a youth activity at a Club O2 or Circle C.

In 2026, Carnival Cruise Line has strictly enforced a 1:00 AM curfew for all guests aged 17 and under. Unless a minor is accompanied by an adult in their traveling party (aged 21 or older) or is participating in a supervised "Circle C" or "Club O2" youth program event, they must be clear of all public areas by 1:00 AM. This policy was significantly tightened to prevent late-night disruptive behavior in hallways and lounge areas. Carnival is not treating this as a suggestion; in 2026, violations can lead to a $500 fine added to the guest's Sail & Sign account. Repeated violations can even result in the entire traveling party being "debarked" at the next port and placed on a permanent "no-sail" list. For adults, there is no official curfew, and venues like the casino, pizza station, and certain bars remain open late into the night, but the minor curfew is a cornerstone of Carnival’s 2026 "Have Fun. Be Safe." initiative.
