What is the difference between 2AC and 3AC?

3AC coach is the most basic type, with three berths (beds) in a compartment. It does not have a separate seating area like 2AC and 1AC coaches do. 2 AC coach has two berths and a separate seating area, while 1 AC coach has one berth and a separate seating area. All these coaches have air-conditioning facility.
