What is the difference between blue lane and green lane on Princess cruise?

Now, guests who completed the required Travel Checklist steps and have received their Medallion prior to their cruise are designated as Green Lane, while guests with an incomplete checklist, as well as those opting to pick up their Medallions during embarkation, are designated as Blue Lane.

The distinction between the "Blue Lane" and "Green Lane" on a Princess Cruises voyage relates to how "OceanReady" a guest is before arriving at the terminal. The Green Lane is the "fast track" for guests who have completed every step in the Princess app, including uploading their travel documents, security photos, and payment information, AND have had their Medallion shipped to their home. These guests can essentially walk straight through security to the ship. The Blue Lane is for guests who have either not completed all their digital "Travel Checklist" steps or have elected to pick up their Medallion at the terminal instead of having it shipped. While Blue Lane guests still enjoy a streamlined check-in, they must stop at a desk to have their documents verified and receive their Medallion from a "Navigator." For 2026 sailings, the $10 shipping fee for the Medallion is often waived for guests on "Princess Plus" or "Premier" packages, making the Green Lane the preferred choice for a seamless start to the vacation.
