Both are services operated by Keisei Electric Railway between Narita Airport and central Tokyo, but they differ in speed and cost. The Skyliner is a premium, high-speed express train that reaches Nippori or Ueno in just 36–41 minutes; it features reserved seating, luggage racks, and requires a specific "Skyliner" surcharge. The Narita Sky Access (often called the Access Express) is the name of the route itself, but the "Access Express" trains are commuter-style trains with bench seating and no luggage racks. These trains are cheaper, do not require reservations, and are often better for travelers heading to the Asakusa or Ginza areas because many Access Express trains "link" directly into the Toei Asakusa subway line, whereas the Skyliner only goes to Ueno and Nippori.
