What is the difference between standard and premium and business class on Frecciarossa?

Standard class with cloth seats, cars 8-11. Premium class with leather seats, cars 6 & 7. Business class, cars 1-4. Luggage space between seats.

On Trenitalia's high-speed Frecciarossa trains, the differences between classes center on seat comfort, layout, and service levels. Standard Class offers a 2+2 seat configuration (four seats across the aisle) with either cloth or leather upholstery depending on the train model; it is comfortable and functional but has the highest passenger density. Premium Class keeps the same 2+2 layout as Standard but provides upgraded leather seats and a "welcome drink" of coffee, water, or prosecco along with a small snack. Business Class is a significant step up, featuring a more spacious 2+1 seating arrangement (three seats across the aisle), providing much more elbow and legroom. Business Class also includes a quiet car (Area Silenzio) for those who wish to work or sleep, as well as a more substantial welcome service. For solo travelers, Business Class is particularly attractive because it offers single-seat rows, ensuring no neighbor. While all classes feature free Wi-Fi and power sockets, the choice between them usually comes down to whether you prefer a quieter environment and extra personal space (Business) or a more economical journey with a few extra "perks" (Premium) compared to the basic Standard experience.

It has been an excellent experience. I had a seat on Executive class . The seats are very comfortable and you get better service than most airlines in Business class. The train stops in few stations but is rather fast only 2 hours from central station to central station in Florence.
