What is the difference between standard and premium Frecciarossa?

Frecciarossa Premium Class (or Livello Premium in Italian) has the same seat layout of Standard Class – 2x2 rows – but offers leather rather than cloth seats. Seats are wide reclining armchairs, each of which has a folding table and power sockets. For travellers' privacy, every row is separated by a glass divider.

The primary difference between Standard and Premium levels on Italy's Frecciarossa high-speed trains lies in the seat material and added amenities. Standard Class features comfortable cloth seating in a 2+2 configuration and is the most economical way to travel at 300 km/h. Premium Class is a significant step up, offering leather seats in the same 2+2 layout but with more dedicated space for luggage and a more refined cabin aesthetic. The most notable perk of Premium is the welcome service, which includes a complimentary snack box and a choice of hot or cold drinks (coffee, tea, juice, or water) served at your seat shortly after departure. Additionally, Premium passengers receive a free morning newspaper on select routes. While both classes offer free Wi-Fi, power outlets at every seat, and access to the "Freccia" entertainment portal, Premium is designed for travelers who want a "Business Light" experience without the higher price tag of Executive or Business classes.
