What is the difference between the old port and the new port in Mykonos?

Mykonos has two ports, located about two kilometers apart: The Old Port and the New Port/Tourlos. The Old Port serves smaller vessels and local boats; the New Port serves car/passenger ferries, catamaran ferries, and all cruise ships that dock at Mykonos.

If you mean the port where the cruise ships dock it is too far to walk to the old town. However a bus runs from the port into the old town plus you can get on the little ferry that takes you to the old town beach and it costs around 2 euro and is very frequent. Helpful?
