What is the Disney name tag policy?

Despite whatever costumes, wigs, and makeup a Disney Cast Member (that's Disney-speak for “employee”) is required to wear for work, all employees must wear a name tag that states their first name and hometown.

When you begin training for any new job with Disney Parks & Resorts, you get this little red ribbon that says Earning My Ears to attach to your name tag. In theory, this is supposed to encourage guests to go easy on you, and it acts a bit like a security blanket for the new cast member.
