What is the largest beach in Madeira?

To the west of Funchal's centre, in the parish of São Martinho, we find the largest public beach in Madeira. Formosa Beach - which is actually a complex made up of four beaches - is only a 10-minute drive from the city centre and is one of the most popular bathing areas in the whole region.
