The title for the longest bus ride in the world is currently held by the "Bus to London" operated by Adventures Overland, which covers a staggering 12,000 kilometers (approx. 7,500 miles). This 56-day journey starts in Istanbul, Turkey, and traverses 22 countries before reaching its final destination in London, United Kingdom. It is designed as a luxury expedition rather than standard transit, with a price tag around $25,000. Prior to this, the Guinness World Record was held by the Transoceánica route, a 6,200-kilometer trek between Lima, Peru, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While the London route is more of a guided tour, the South American route remains the longest continuous commercial scheduled bus service, taking about 100 hours to complete.
