What is the most intense roller coaster at Disney World?

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is the most intense of the Walt Disney World roller coasters and the only one that goes upside down. Like Space Mountain, this ride takes place mostly in the dark.

The title for the most intense roller coaster at Walt Disney World is a toss-up between Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. For sheer "G-force" and traditional thrills, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios takes the lead because it is the only coaster on property that features inversions (it goes upside down three times) and a high-speed launch that hits 57 mph in 2.8 seconds. However, many modern riders consider Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT to be more intense in a different way. It is one of the world's longest fully enclosed coasters and features a reverse launch and "omnicoaster" vehicles that rotate 360 degrees while moving along the track. This rotation, combined with the massive digital screens and the high-speed drifting sensation, can be very disorienting and frequently causes motion sickness. If you prefer high-speed drops and high altitudes, Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom is also a contender, notably for its large outdoor drop and a significant portion of the ride spent traveling backward in total darkness. Ultimately, for classic high-intensity thrills, Aerosmith wins; for modern, disorienting intensity, Guardians is the champion.

This is for Walt Disney World resort. The coaster with the biggest drop is the Tower of Terror, which is nothing more than a drop ride. The next biggest drop would be Splash Mountain, then The Rockin' Rollercoaster, which is more of a launch followed by a sideways corkscrew, rather than a true drop.

TRON does move up and down a fair bit, but there's very little of that “stomach-drop” feeling with your feet leaving the floor. That's for two reasons. The first is that on a Lightcycle your head points down, not your feet. But the bigger reason is that almost all of TRON's rise-and-drop motion includes a turn.
