As of early 2026, the newest flagship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet is the Carnival Jubilee, which debuted in late 2023 and serves as the third ship in the highly successful Excel-class. It is a massive vessel powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and features the "BOLT" roller coaster at sea. Looking ahead into late 2026 and 2027, Carnival has announced further expansion with new ships potentially named Carnival Festivale or Tropicale as part of their fleet growth strategy. However, the Jubilee remains the current "new" star of the fleet, primarily sailing from Galveston, Texas. It offers six distinct themed "zones," including the exclusive "Currents" and "The Shores" areas which feature innovative LED technology and digital underwater worlds, differentiating it from its sister ships, the Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration.
