What is the new airline to Ireland?

About Aer Lingus Reaffirming its commitment to its North American expansion, the airline will operate 18 transatlantic routes in 2024 from Dublin and Shannon and a further three transatlantic routes from Manchester, UK to North America and the Caribbean.

As of early 2026, the most significant "new" entry to the Irish market is Aer Lingus's expansion of several non-stop routes, most notably the first-ever regular scheduled service between Pittsburgh (PIT) and Dublin (DUB), which is set to launch in May 2026. This route operates four times weekly on a year-round basis. Additionally, JetBlue and United Airlines have continued to expand their 2026 summer schedules to Dublin and Shannon from various U.S. hubs. On the low-cost side, Ryanair has added several new regional connections from Cork and Dublin to secondary airports in France and Spain for the 2026 season. While not a brand-new airline company, these specific routes represent the latest "new" ways to reach the Emerald Isle from North America and Europe.
