The new addition to the Marella Cruises fleet for 2023 was the Marella Voyager. Debuting in June 2023, it became the fifth ship in their all-inclusive lineup. The vessel was formerly known as the Mein Schiff 2 (and originally the Celebrity Mercury) before undergoing a massive multi-million-pound "bow-to-stern" refurbishment to align with Marella’s British-centric brand. In 2026, the Marella Voyager remains a favorite for its "Secret Speakeasy" bar, its Mexican eatery "Abuela's," and its 1,912-passenger capacity. It was specifically designed to offer a more modern, "resort-style" feel compared to the older Discovery-class ships. The Voyager spent its inaugural seasons sailing the Mediterranean out of Palma de Mallorca before repositioning for winter sun itineraries in the Caribbean. Its launch marked a significant expansion for Marella, focusing on higher-end amenities and a broader variety of the "10 restaurants and 10 bars" concept that has become the hallmark of their newer fleet members.
